Fun = Aching (?)
BUT the minute, I put on my blades.. I felt it was as if it had no friction at all and I was petrified. Yes. The word was petrified (+paranoid that I will end up in the sea cos the sea was just in front of the blades rental shop..)
Rested my 'orchid' butt (skin the back of my thighs but no where else injured.. Thank God!!) for awhile.. we sat by the chairs by the beach and chat while waiting for Claire and Geir. Red Bull promotion girls on blades came pass and offered us free chilled red bulls.. hmm.. not bad.. free drink. Hehehe.. After almost an hour of resting.. continued bladding since we reckoned C&G would most probably not turned up already. Blade all the way to Old Fort Road, and blade our way back to the rental shop. Nearing Mt. Everest Hump, I declared I am not gonna fall down 4 times in a single day and took off my blades and walked barefooted back to the rental shop since it was quite near. (My birkenstocks were in the locker!) Yan joined me (He could have bladed back actually.. haha) and we were yelping from the blazking ground when walking barefooted.
After that Yan drove me to Tiong Bahru where I am supposed to meet Ink & TY and Gab & Merv for the great cookout! Went grocery shopping & I headed down to TY & Ink's with Gab when he saw me at Tiong Bahru.
We spent 3 hours in the kitchen cooking up Tandoori Chicken (Gab cooked this himself!! So Cool right? Another guy I know who is keen on cooking.. other than Paul who has potential to be a great chef.. this guy cooks DUCK can!! I am drolling at the thought of Paul's food..) And TY cooked delicious long beans, carrots & dried shrimps (I loved it!) and Broccoli Fried Rice (Yummylicious!!!) and we experimented on cooking Oyster Kailan and I cooked Stir Fry Sweet Chilli Chicken on glass noodles. So much food!!!!! But the food were tasty... I must say the Stir Fry Sweet Chilli Chicken is my FIRST ATTEMPT (and it turned out.. quite nice? U think, guys? Hahahaha fishing for compliments.. thick skin..if not, pls tell me so I can improve)
Bathed after dinner cos I was disheveled after bladding.. but TY & Gab say I dun look as if I had bladed..(Anyway check out the pics on Ink's --> http://www.pagesofink.com/) And felt so refreshed after bathing.. and we top off our dinner with Dark Chocolate & Tartufo Gelato with Alfred's Chocolate Swiss Roll Cake..* Pris feels as though she is in 7th heaven.. (Well actually yes.. cos Ink's place is on 7th floor) so nice!!! Junming joined us in time for dessert.. and we all played board games while TY & Jm played Zuma.
What a wonderful Saturday!!!! Enjoyed myself to the max though I fell 3 times and skin myself and I am aching right now like an old grandmother.. but it was all worth it.. Btw.. Gab is already thinking of what to cook on the next great cookout.. Anyone keen to join us? U can be our experimental guinea pigs if you dare.. :)

Locus of Control
Locus of Control Test Results |
Internal Locus (59%) Individual believes that their life is defined more by their decisions and internal drive. External Locus (41%) Individual believes that their life is defined more by genetics, environment, fate, or other external factors.
personality tests by similarminds.com
Learned this during one of my modules, Leadership Management Style (LMS) this semester. It's basically about raising your own self awareness to be able to manage yourself as well as your suboardinates in an organisation. And one of the topics, well.. not topics but tools to use to increase your self-awareness is Locus of Control. (Okie, it's all coming back to me now .. esp after my exams..)
It's whether or not someone has stronger internal locus of control or external. The results above explained itself. But in our studies Locus of Control goes further to determine if in a situation where something goes wrong, if the individual tends to blame others more (external locus of control is high) or blame yourself for what went wrong (internal locus of control is high). Nothing to be judgemental of but just to increase your self-awareness and supposedly make you a better leader going forward.

Amazing Vesak!!
I truly enjoyed myself to the ultimate.
Woke up this morning (from sleeping at 2am.. lack of sleep here!!) as Yan called to say he will be at my place to pick me up in another 5mins time. *Pris Panicks.. have yet to decide what to wear, what to bring along to change, comb my hair... etc. Yes, I am a typical girl*
It was already nice of Yan to come fetch me though we were heading to East Coast Park and he is staying in the East side of Singapore. Am in Central Singapore. Sweet of him, right? ?He is Mr. Nice Guy and NOOO, I did not bully him to fetch me.. he volunteered.
Met Yan and we went to Eunos (For my didi, Khanh's sake.. its pronounced as "U-nos") to pick LiFen (*ahem*ahem* Yan is LiFen's potential.. wahaha..)
And before LiFen came, Yan & I went to had out breakfast at Eunos market since LiFen told Yan over the phone that she had a bun for breakfast already.
Afterwhich we went to the train station to pick LiFen up. I decided to sit at the back of Yan's car as I don't want LiFen to misunderstand that I am her *cough* rival.. Hahah.. U know how women are in such things. And Yan was chuckling away on how ridiculous I am for sitting at the back of the car while he drove to the station.
Reached East Coast Park and good grief!! The park was packed with lots and lots of people. Yikes! Feels as though I am in some hypermart grand sale and everyone's rushing. And oh yeah.. the weather was so humid and excruciatingly warm... less than 10 steps from the car and I felt myself melting.
Saw Claire and her beau Geir (He is getting taller??? Nah.. I think cos I am not wearing heels as compared to the usual times from office I saw Geir).
I was about to rent a bike to cycle when LiFen asked me if I would be roller blading.
*Gulps* Me? Erm.. I told LiFen that I do not know how to blade at all.
So yes, instead of cycling. I went roller blading today. Rented a pair of skates and was wearing the necessary protective gears and the skates and surprisingly to myself, I was able to stand on my own. LiFen was sweet.
She held my hand, taught me how to blade for the next 15-20 mins and then she let go of me to let me blade on my own. Claire and Geir were the experts in roller blading, they zoomed passed with Noriza and Noriza's friend; June Ong on their bicycles.
Yan, LiFen and I were blading slowly. Yan & LiFen were nice as they orbited around me like a satelite to ensure I was fine. I did had a few (well more than a few) times I nearly fell and screamed for help..but Thank God I didn't fall.
LiFen taught me to manage my balance and to go over humps and because I had a wonderful and patient teacher, I was able to blade on my own throughout the rest of the rented time of almost 2 hours?
To the last part, when we were returning to the roller blades rental and there was this 1 hump, I was trying to get across but 'rolled back' and Yan tried to grab me but he himself had difficulty going over the hump and he let go of my hand..which is fine..
*PHEW!!!* Thank God once more that I never fall and YAN TZE SHIN!!! U PUSHED ME LA.. IF I FALL BACKWARDS and LAND ON MY HEAD... U GOT ALOT OF PEOPLE TO ANSWER TOO!!! hahahaha.. *Trying to send him on guilty trip.. though he doesn't read my blog.. hahah.. will send it to him.. hahah*
At the rental, there was again another slope, the guy at the rental was nice, he pulled me up and I was busy chanting to him "Dun let go.. dun let go.. plsplspls... its a slope" And he was saying "Dun worry, I wont. I wont. " And he helped me took out my skates later.
Too bad no pics.. if not it was really fun. We chilled out at Macdonald's at the open air area.. had our drinks, chat, and it started to rain. Dun know why, at that moment I felt as though all of us were in some cafe in Europe or out of Singapore and chilling out and having fun. Nice!
After that, Mr. Nice Yan sent me to Dhoby Ghaut MRT to meet my churchmates for Timothy class at KC's. LiFen and him went to plaza sing for lunch as well. *Hee hee... *
K.C's place was amazingly white in decor... his fluffy dog was also white and really resembled a Cotton ball .. his name is Cotton.
Cute, but I am not an animal lover.
After Timothy Class, we walked around here and there looking for a place for dinner. Finally settled at Funan and Gab pointed out that we walked for an hour already. (I was thinking in my head.. Yay!! More exercise!!! hahaha)
Anyway, I think I got hooked on bladding. Quite fun. Thinking of getting a pair of blades now after my Eurotrip and go bladding with these folks for it has been fun. Hmmm... blades? Yes.. I think I will!! Living in Singapore has another meaning now.. Another activity that I am keen. Hehe.
Came back home, bathed and felt sooooOo good.. refreshed, not sticky from today's exercise and humidity, and text didi to tell him my Amazing Vesak day today. Hehe.. Came online and he was also online. Cool. This is indeed a great day! Praise God!

16th - 22nd May 2005
There was nothing much going on from Monday to Thursday for me.. except Friday onwards. Friday 20th May 2005, had a firedrill - skipped it.. refused to go down for a silly firedrill (not from 26 floors ok, people!!!!) Was the only one holding the fort for my account on Friday (Feels like big shot, Grahame in Sydney, Lien on half day leave, Liz T. on leave, HB holidaying in HK.. so left MEEEEEEE). Anyway, today was also the Star Wars Episode 3 night.. free tix sponsored by the firm.
Speaking of Star Wars.. check out this hilarious blogspot webpage I found while surfing the net..
Interestingly, I found out amazing facts about Amidala.. and Yoda (He is only 0.66m tall for ur info.. shorter than ur 1 arms length..) So if you wanna know about star wars character.. check out this site.. pretty cool:
After movie, the usual gang went to play pool.. I was sooo tired.. my eyes could barely be kept open .. plus contact lenses were dry. But cos we paid for "pool buffet - $19.80 from 11pm onwards to 3am..as compared to $10 per hour?" so we played till 2:30am. Went back home .. eyes nearly popped and crawled to bed after washing up.
Sunday.. TODAY... went to church.. normal.. went to see Eirene who was at work today with Ang Guppy and had a good catch up with her. Glad to see her happy. Went home and prayed.. read the bible and was singing praises to Him for about 2 hours.. SO REJUVENATING. I admit, I have not been reading up on His word religiously since I passed my bible to my bro.. which was like I think almost 1 month back. (I can hear my CL and shepherd gasping already.. hehehe.. kiddin)
Looking forward to this coming Sat's cookout 2 at Ink's & Ty's.... whooppee!

Funfilled Sunday
It was a funfilled Sunday. First off all... I am so proud of myself *pats my own head.. haha* cos I woke up early in the morning for church and actually WALKED to the train station for the first time EVER for church. *Applause!!!!* And was early in church as well!! *Double Applause!!* Hehehe...I have NEVER walked to the train station for church before. It was always bus or cab.
2ndly, after service we hung around at Marks & Spencer's cafe for a CG evaluation and then later on went to attend a talk with Ink, TY and Gab. It was a good talk about faith and I agreed that faith is a process. It's like from zero faith to mustard seed faith and the growing to "moving mountains" kind of faith and then to something much more. But to have faith, we must believe, trust and desire. Only then would the process grow. faith has been something I guess we all struggled with. But like what Donald said.. our faith is not consistent and finite, but know that God's faith is. That is something I find very re-assuring. My God is the same today and forever. Hallelujah!
After talk we initially wanted to watch "Million" and as the screening time was much later.. we decided to chill out at Ink & TY's before the movie. At their place, TY had a brilliant idea. She suggested that the gals cooked while the guys do their stuff (played LAN games) and we'll just have dinner and that's it. Movie was cancelled cos somehow or rather the online bookng could not be confirmed. Hahah... how queer.
Anyway, TY and I had a blast of a time in the kitchen. We had 4 dishes for dinner!! 1. Tandoori chicken & onions (Dun know how it is.. but everyone finished all the food.. so i think its either they were very hungry or they were being nice to the tandoori chicken TY and I cooked. (She cooked the rest.. I basically chopped alot of vege up for her.. heheh) 2. Stir fry brocolli, carrots and zuchinni (?) sausages [which I liked very much] 3. Stir fry Cabbage & carrot 4. Boiled quail eggs (TY say wanna finish them.. ). After a nice wonderful homecooked meal, Ink brought out.. GELATOOOOOOOOOO... Nice ar.. Dark Chocolate and hazelnut!!!!! *Yummy..* spoilt rotten!!
Annnd... would you believe that after dinner, Mervyn taught me how to play DOTA? or was it Warcraft? or Both? Aiyah.. u guys know la.. its a guy thing. And I was busy screaming away while playing whenever I was "attacked" by the er... scourges? cant recall the exact name. Ang Guppy & Mervyn were busy chuckling away at me screaming. I was going "Eeeeekkkss.... !! RUuuUun!!! GooO Awaay!! Arrrhhhh!!! Yiikkes!!!" I screamed so much that Ink who was in the kitchen came out saying "what happen what happen?" So ... switched game.. switched to what? Switched to U.T .. er.. unreal tournament? Or was it Unrealistic Tournament? I could never get it right. But it was fun.. much better than Warcraft. I didn't screamed that much. FUN!!! *Addictive ar!!!* played a few rounds and we decided to call it a day ..
Wanted to take a cab home but decided against it.. so I took the train and walked home from the train station. It was quite pitch dark tonight when I walked home but I was jumping with joy inside. So Fun! What a funfilled Sunday!!
We gota do this more often Ink, Merv, Gab and TY!!!! Btw.. .I suggested to TY.. next dish we try if possible would be gyozaaa....

Keys to my heart??? I wonder...
The Keys to Your Heart |
You are attracted to those who have a split personality - cold as ice on the outside but hot as fire in the heart.
In love, you feel the most alive when things are straight-forward, and you're told that you're loved.
You'd like to your lover to think you are loyal and faithful... that you'll never change.
You would be forced to break up with someone who was emotional, moody, and difficult to please.
Your ideal relationship is comforting. You crave a relationship where you always feel warmth and love.
Your risk of cheating is zero. You care about society and morality. You would never break a commitment.
You think of marriage as something precious. You'll treasure marriage and treat it as sacred.
In this moment, you think of love as commitment. Love only works when both people are totally devoted.
From Paul's website.. I tried it out.. HmmMm...interesting. I think quite true that I usually find myself attracted to mysterious people.. or should I say schizos? (Hot inside .. cold outside?) Haha.. kiddin..

Friday the 13th...
Well.. sorry to disapppoint all of you .. my sweet ardent fans. I did not have a freaky, weird or 'everything went wrong' Friday. In fact, I had a S*U*P*E*R*B Friday everrrrrrrrr!! *Ahem clears throat.. ready for a long blog? No? Too bad for u.. I am.. Wahahahah*
Started my Friday at work (well I was late.. ) at 920pm (*everyone GASPPP!!*) okie thats not the point here, I went to work as usual.. switched on my comp and while it was loading.. I was spreading my peanut butter and jelly (what flavour? Grape!) on my hi-fibre white Gardenia bread (and this is where u goooo.. "like we care!!! just trying to make u guys picture my sandwich..) and was chanting under my breathe "pls not too many emails.. pls.. not too many emails" (I am covering for my supervisor, Lien who was away in Hong Kong.. *envious*) .
I was chanting and hoping I wont get alot of emails cos I wanna leave early and on time today for CG as I was one of the discussion leader for today's CG lesson and I was excited to serve God. When I saw my emails I was like .. hmm.. quite a lot.. but to cut grandma's story short.. the Lord was magnificent.. cos I managed to clear my emails (including those emails that I was finding out the answers to reply the expatriates.) down to .....*drum rolls* only 4 emails in my inbox.. ANDDDDDDDD taking into account the following considerations:
*All of the above just sums up one thing: time wastage and YET, the almighty helped me clear my emails and work..* How?? Well.. I had a few calls.. from HR and though it meant that I would not be able to read and reply to emails and activate services for assignees, I got confirmations from HRs and with the answers and confirmations, I could reply the expatriates.. in which results in my emails diminishing from my inbox folder to archive.
One thing I wanted to mention was that .... Dom was really nice. As mentioned that this was his last day here in Singapore, he went around asking all of us if we wanted coffee..when it came to me.. I said can I? He said Sure! And asked me what I wanted.. told him Skinny latte (my fave..take note u guys!!haha) and asked what size I would prefer for my skinny latte. I said small and he said small was for kids and said he will order medium for me. When he returned.. He got me a LARGE cup and was nice enough to ask me if it was alright for me..if I can handle it.. if it was too much.. *Feels like a princess at this moment..* hahahaha.... I know.. I am spoilt by alot of people.. but I am not that spoilt la.. (am i?) Anyway.. i think its really sweet of Dom to have done that for all of us and I noticed that the rest had.. er.. Medium size cups? *Pris felt blessed*
*fast forward*
The day soon ended and I headed to TY & Ink's for CG. Arrived on the dot (according to my watch) and Weeleong was the chairperson.. he was a hilarious chairperson.. not in a goof up manner.. in a well done yet mischeivious manner.. Merv was the worship leader this round and I enjoyed his praise and worship.. Reina was in charge of holy communion and she never fails to amaze me .. her holy communion was cool.. like a pro. After that, we acted out a skit of one of the bible chracters - Jonah..We were picking names from a bag to determine who played what character and guess who was King of Nineveh??? No bonus points if u said Pris Tham .... It was fun and after which I had my first discussion ever!!! Thank God that it was an in depth sharing.
Sis Ty said last night when we were running through the leader's notes to help discussion leaders that the first person you pick to answer or share the experience would set the depth of the discussion.. the members in my group were busy and did not had time to do their CG homework..but praise God.. (now that I am blogging and recalling back..it suddenly dawned on me) when I asked them to share on their experiences and everything.. they were quite shy so I started sharing first and the discussion and study on Jonah soon led to an in-depth sharing and learning as well. I am indeed thankful and encouraged by what was shared by the members in my group.. Yixi, Reina & Alfred.
Alfred was appointed to close the discussion in prayer and I was touched that he prayed for me and said that the discussion and sharing was in-depth.. actually right now as I blogged..
Once more.. I wanna thank God for providing me with an opportunity to serve Him. Wanna thank my CL and Shepherd for giving me the chance as well as guiding me. I learned a lot and it is indeed a joy to serve God. Also, wanna thank my discussion members for being patient with me and also for trusting me enough.
After the caregroup session, we went over to Joel & Evelyn's which was nearby for Evelyn & Elaine's birthday celebration and had Haagen Daz coffee ice-cream.. Nice!

Hilarious...
Anyway, before I drift off to talk about something else. As I was saying that I thought I had nothing much to blog today.. (I can hear all of you go ... "YEeessSs..Pris. .you just mentioned that and we know... dun be such a nag cannn? Muaahahaha... like I care.. haha) I was searching for songs for the week where I am leading praise and worship during caregroup (still got sometime before the actual day but kiasu-ism = scared to lose, and as I had nothing to do and I am someone who likes to prepare before hand preferably..) when Mervyn said Yo to me online on msn.
We chat and talked about P&W (praise & worship) since he's gonna lead this week (U go bro!! Gambatte!!) and we were exchanging songs and chatting and Merv sent me this zip folder with alot of songs in it, to help me in my search for the songs I wanted.
I opened the zip file after receiving it and was scrolling down the list of 800 over chords and songs when my eyes O.O!!!!! chanced upon this song title:
She's been drinking too much egg nog
When we found her Christmas morning at the scene of the attack
It's not Christmas without grandma
Now we're all so proud of grandpa, he's been taking this so well.
Now the goose is on the table and the pudding made of fig
I've warned all my friends and neighbors, better watch out for yourselves

That's almost 12 hours straight of contact lenses wearing for me!!!!!!!!! *I can hear my eyes gasping for air... time for me to save money for lasik big time man..*

The Doors
This afternoon after waking up and finishing my quiet time with Him, and after "Romancing the 3 Kingdoms", I decided to go online and check emails and stuff. After which I remembered the game I sent to myself from Liz and decided to have a go at it.
Check out the game The Doors for yourself.. I soon found myself hooked as curiosity and the sherlock holmes in me got the better of me.

Visit to the doc's
Before I tell you about my visit to the doc's, lemme let you in on a little secret that my fellow colleagues and I have 'labelled' this doctor at the clinic we usually go to near our office as ... mm.. "scary & weird". She was always in room number 1.
Anyway, my insect bite was SOOOoOOOoOooOOooOoOooOOoooOO (okie you get the picture) itchy, I had to see the doc ASAP, I couldn't type without wanting to scratch it. Went over to doc's and waited for them to assign me the room number for the doc. As usual, locals here can't really pronounce my name properly. The clinic assistant at the front desk shouted (I was just sitting IN FRONT OF HER) "PRESS-SI-LAH THUMB.... Room number ONE" x.x!!! *sobs* Dieeeee! Oh "lucky" me!
Told the doc what happened to me and she went into another connecting room and came back with ... 1. A metal kidney-shaped pan 2. A small knife in it 3. Cotton balls 4. Some lotion. (Dang!! She's gonna cut me up... ) and she had a MASK on. As she approached me.. (my heart raced..huh? cut me here and here? no injection? no warning?) She said to me: "Lift up your elbow high and turn your head to face the wall.."*Wails...* I asked her "Doc you gonna cut it up *gulps* nnnow?"
Doc: "Oh .. no la.. the knife's in there cos I'm lazy to take it out as I bring the pan here to clean your infected area" *PHEWWWWWWWW* Huge relief... Anyway she cleansed it..stuck gauze pads on it and tape up "Hong Kong" any-oh-how. (Really.. I have medical tape criss-crossed here and there..) I feel like a present wrapped by an over zealous kid who's eager to wrap a gift but lacks experience or the know-hows. I asked her "Doc, why do I have to face the wall?" (Was thinking in my head.. so that you can wrap it up worst than erm now while I ain't looking?) She said "Cos.. by looking and facing your wound as I clean it.. you are breathing in every spec of germs and dust." Arh? Waaht? come again? Dust? (Scratch heads while glancing at ceilinng...HmmMmmM..) Riight. Interesting.

On My Mind...
Today's blog entry would be... what's on my mind..so just to prepare you first. It wont be in a consistent flow of thoughts. .MY MIND SWITCHES YA? Get the idea already? Great.
WRONG!!!! It wasn't a mozzie. COS watever bit me.. from SUNDAY .. STILL itches till NOW (Its 8mins to Wednesday!!) and the worst thing is.. its red, darn itchy (no longer a tad...if u wanna use a tad pls multiply by the power of 10) and .... *Pris begins to sob* and... its almost as gimongus and vast as the Republic of China, CAN!!! I am NOT Exaggerating.. okie maybe by a little.. (Readers go: "Huh?! Like real!") Alright.. Alright you heartless folks.. its not as big as China.. just as big (not forgetting itchyX10) as Hong Kong .. Can?
As I am blogging.. I am resisting from scratching it.. couldn't find my trusty "Zambuk" (Some gentle healing gel for insect bites) and if I still have hong Kong on my elbow tomorrow..I will go see a doc. It's swollen ya know! *Pris wants some attention here peeps!!* So pardon my French (I just realise I must be itchying to travel [note the ironic pun?] which brings out China, hong Kong & the French thingy), but d@mn that dreadful, greedy bug who sucked my blood and left me swollen and itchying!!
2. Bangkok
Patrico says he tailor-made a few pants and shirts and he bought alot of stuff. He bought a wooden figurine for all of us in the office. It's so cute! Mine's an angel woodrine (Wood+figurine). It can hold our photos too.. So sweet of him. He said he ate lots of nice Japanese food in Bangkok and all for a whooping.. *Gasp!* 8 bucks (SGD!). Amazing! I wanna go to Bangkok and shop till I DROP. Yes, I haev heard soO much stuff about Bangkok that I am DETERMINED to go there this year after Europe. (I dun careeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee......need to find kakis to go... anyone keen? lemme know..)
3. Ms. Infineon Tham
Yes, you guessed it. Talked to Grahame today and we had a good discussion on what account I should be taking on next. So there you go. (Btw.. that nick is given to me by Grahame.. not me. He calls me that or Priscilla Infineon Tham.)
4. Goods & Services, Utilities Allowance Review
5. Study Leave

Friday, 15th April 2005
Went to work as usual and couldn't wait for the day to end to attend caregroup. Oh and after caregroup, Yan, Angie, Yilin & I were meeting up for a round of pool as well as some drinks (NON-alcoholic, mind you). Yan said he will come fetch me after my caregroup.. YAY!! Thanks Yan!!
Met up with Imelda for lunch and I was delighted to see her after so long. First thing she said to me was even before she started eating her Jap lunch was "Girl, you very busy hor! You know how long since I last saw you, other than that day I coincidentally met you at PartyWorld Karaoke on your birthday........You ar.. everytime so busy.. projects ...assignments...conference calls... work... going out.. meeting friends.. hanging out with ur friends..Am I not your friend? Huh? And then...."
*Pris trails off as I realised I had opened a floodgate. Imelda's floodgate*
When she said that to me..I had a 5 seconds flashback to my birthday in March and finally traced back to the memory of seeing her that eventful day. Glanced at my watch and it indicated 15th April 2005. Standard dateline for filing my income tax. Oh yeah.. dang! I lost my e-filing pin, misplaced it somewhere and made a mental note to myself to call IRAS later to re-send me another pin since they have graciously extended the dateline till end of April for people like me. (All this was on my head while Imelda's foodgate continued to flood)
*OooPs! Where was I? Diverse off course.. Realise how fast I am thinking of something else while Imelda bombards me non-stop about how I have neglected her* I admit. I am guilty of neglecting her.
*Fast forward and soon it was caregroup.. * Felt an undescribable sense of joy when I saw my fellow churchmates. I wonder why. Guess cos God's presence was there. The lesson was meaningful but I kept glancing at the clock. Dang.. How come Yan didn't call me yet to say he is here? Anyway when the gals prayed together.. I dun know why I felt a warm presence around me. It felt ....nice? Or was I imagining things? But I did realised that when my mind was away for a few seconds.. I couldn't feel the warm presence anymore. I don't know how to describe it. But this was the second time I felt like this. The other time I kindof brushed it aside when I felt the warmth. The first time was more intense. It felt as though someone hugged me from behind. ..that kind of warm glow. Anyway, when caregroup came to an end I checked my mobile and realised that it was dead. Good grief!!! It's a no wonder I couldn't receive. Tried to revive my phone and managed to see a few texts from Angie and Yan. Poor Yan, he said he have been waiting for half an hour driving up and down the place trying to find me.. Awww.. My bad!! Truly sorry for making you wait!
When I made a speedy gonzales for the door while saying my goodbyes to my fellow churchmates.. received a last text from Yan that he couldn't find me and he droved off to meet the rest. *Pris wails...* And my phone went dead at that instant. Great. Now I have to make my own way to find them and without a mobile to contact them.
*Met Sherlene and her beau on the train while making my way to find the peeps and catch up with her alittle over (though she is also my colleague from the same dept. but different account) the short train ride from City Hall to Orchard...somehow.. the conversation led to Yan..* [Yan, if you are ever reading this blog which I doubt U ever will...realise how much everyone cares about you?]
Finally met the peeps who were truly understanding of how late I was. Thank God for these muffins! Lovely people. We had a good session of pool while laughing and poking fun at one another.. Then my stomach growled.. *growled..growled...* [Pris to her stomach: "Okie..Okie.. I will feed you.."] We played our last round and went for supper at Coffee Club and Yilin recommended the Garlic Prawn pasta & Sotong (Or was it fish?) balls to us and I added on another of their recommended dish 'Pacific Mussels in Chili Crab Sauce & Man Tou (Fried buns)' Yummy! Ate, chat, (The garlic prawn pasta was scrumptous!) and soon realised it was close to 4am. The folks agreed in unison that it was time to hit the sack and we departed on our ways. Wanted to catch a cab further down so Yan and I walked further down to hail a cab for me. He was walking back to his car, not cos we specifically wanted to walk together ok!! Yan asked me where do I stay and I said "-e--n" (<--security reasons la!) and he said he can give me a lift. wooOohooOo..great! Hahaha.. cheapskates.
On the way to find his car which took almost an eternity .. and somewhat of a little adventure (we found ourselves at some dark, gloomy, smelly, stinking, garbage trash site at the back of Lucky Plaza where Yan supposedly park his car and all the while I was wailing if he is gonna 'sell me' away and procrastinating in a joking manner that I should have taken a cab instead..while covering my nose to avoid breathing in the stench.. and Yan just LAUGHED. Great.) *Typical Yan, always making booboos & yet he is so farny & crappy at the same time..haha* Alas, we found his car and he drove me home. He told me something after which when I put two and two together.. I should have known. No wonder the poor fella couldn't find his car. Mind's away.
Went home, bathed and finally my body was horizontal again. This is my Friday. (Mental note to myself: To pray for a number of people including Yan.)

Gonna miss you......
There's the wombat and the london bear plushie on the top right hand corner of the pic. Wombat given to me by Brian when he went to Australia (Wombat is call Fatso), London Bear plushie from Khanh (No name yet for london bear). A Crown Relocations Lion plushie given by our vendor Crown (But they gave it to Kate & Kate gave it to me..)
On the same shelf to the left of the plushies is a fako red digital canon camera that Angie passed to me for fun and says thats my 'spy cam' and to the left ot it is a blue evil clown figurine that Big Patrick (Previous colleague also call Patrick..he is the caucasian guy standing with me on one of the pics on my office wall.. if you squint harder..) It's an evil clown cos its holding an ice cream with a hammer at the back of him..but its too tiny to be seen here. To the left of Mr. Evil Clown is Mr. & Mrs. Incredibles figurine.. got that from a drinking cup when I watched the incredibles. Further left of the incredibles are the 'peeping toms'. They look as though are peeping from the side of the wall, don't they? They are actually some Sesame Street toy collectibles that I collected during those days where you buy a McDonald's happy meal and it comes with a free toy.
And as you can see.. the rest are pics and postcards on the wall and some other plushies like the Burger King Reindeer.. she's cute.. and the 'Cheshire cat' on my CPU from Alice in Wonderland. Sigh.... SoooOo gonna miss my current desk.. (if I relocate..)
Anyway.. I pray that if I really do relocate.. there will be enough shelf space.. wall space for my plushies, postcards and pics..
Good news today is ... HB suddenly called my name in an exciting manner "PRIIIS-CIII-LLLA!!" O.O? Waahhtt? HB: "I got selected!!!!!" Pris: "Yayyyyy!!!!! Erm.. for what?" HB: "The Hokkaido Exchange Program!!" Pris: "Really? Coooool.....so when you flying?" .....*trails off to exchange of information and congrats from fellow colleagues nearby...*
As I resume back to my desk.. I suddenly recalled what my supervisor, Lien, told me yesterday. *SOBssssss* Lien, this is shocking news!! Still is to me.. though I know you are not here for long term and would head back to Melbourne one day. BUTTTTTT, I still can't swallow that it's that soon. Man, I think I am a creature of habit. But working with Lien has been fantastic.. I learned a lot from her and her sense of humour never fail to crack me up. Gonna miss you too... I really wonder how fast the transition of the current account to someone else would be. As much as I want it to be ASAP so that I can start something new and the feeling of something new always makes someone looks forward to it.. BUT on the other hand.. the faster we transition off..it would mean the faster Lien would return to Melbourne. Gosh! I know nothing will make her stay cos her work here is just really to gain more exposure. And I learned sooOo much from her since July last year!
Oh well.. it just means I have another friend in Melbourne that I can visit when I head down to Aussie someday to visit Jane, Nathanael and now Lien going forward. Not you know why I have to visit so many places cos alot of my friends are like all over the world (As detailed below)
Ex-colleague Annie & hubby Thomas - Bonn, Germany
Ex-colleague Anke - Stuttgart, Germany
Ex-colleague Caroline & hubby Joe - Calgary, Canada
Ex-colleague Petrina & hubby Bryan - Sydney, Australia
Ex-colleague Jane & hubby Nathanael - Melbourne, Australia
Ex-coursemate Apple & hubby Kafoon - Shanghai
Ex-colleague Patrick C. - San Diego, USA
Now I have to add Lien in the list together with Jane & Nathanael as they are all from Melbourne. Sigh...........And they are all my ex-colleagues or coursemates.. and the people on the list (other than Patrick C.) have been bugging me to visit them for the longest time ever!! *Aww... guys... realise that all of you are really at the ends of the globe? The hole in my pocket would be as big as the ozone layer if I visit everyone of you consecutively..*
Anyway, realised that I have yet to go to BANGKOK, GREECE (my honeymoon place), JAPAN, CAIRO, ISTANBUL, VIETNAM, OSLO, FINLAND, etc.... I better start building my network.. hahah..
