Learned this during one of my modules, Leadership Management Style (LMS) this semester. It's basically about raising your own self awareness to be able to manage yourself as well as your suboardinates in an organisation. And one of the topics, well.. not topics but tools to use to increase your self-awareness is Locus of Control. (Okie, it's all coming back to me now .. esp after my exams..)
It's whether or not someone has stronger internal locus of control or external. The results above explained itself. But in our studies Locus of Control goes further to determine if in a situation where something goes wrong, if the individual tends to blame others more (external locus of control is high) or blame yourself for what went wrong (internal locus of control is high). Nothing to be judgemental of but just to increase your self-awareness and supposedly make you a better leader going forward.

so is 50-50 ideal? or what?
Well yeah.. but it's rarely people get 50-50. so near to this range is good.. apparently anything 65/70-30 is too extreme on one end and you just need to be aware of it.. and try to reduce the high % end. (E.g. IF u're high on external control (70%) just got to be aware that may have high tendency to blame others if something turns out wrong..)
